The Idea
The whole ship, one lot.
Most cruises bolt a craft class onto a boat full of strangers. Passage Club works the other way round: we charter the vessel entire, then fill it with a hundred and fifty people who share one passion.
So everyone in the lounge is working on something. Nobody asks how much longer you will be. For one week the whole boat is dyed the same colour — and that, far more than the itinerary, is what people come back for.
A Day Aboard
Ashore by ten, casting on by two.
The rhythm holds all week. Nothing is compulsory, and there is always somebody in the lounge.
07.30
Morning ashore
Guided walks through Baroque squares and covered markets. There is always a yarn shop on the route.
12.30
Lunch aboard
Long tables on the sun deck as the ship casts off. Local cooking, Austrian wine, the river going past.
14.00
Knit & learn
Margit Sørensen teaches colourwork, steeks, and the heel you have been avoiding. Or sit and work on your own.
20.00
Knitting circle
Chairs pulled into a ring in the lounge. Rounds counted, patterns swapped, strangers stop being strangers.
