Most trips scatter you among strangers. Passage Club does the opposite: we charter the entire vessel for a single passion, so every cabin, every table at dinner, every seat in the lounge belongs to someone who gets it. Edition No. 1 belongs to knitters.
The result isn't a cruise with a craft class bolted on. It's a floating fibre studio with a river running past the window — a week where the person beside you already speaks your language, in stitches.

Margit Sørensen, at the front of the room
Copenhagen knitwear designer, patient teacher, and lifelong river-cruiser. Margit has spent two decades coaxing first-time knitters through their first cast-on and helping old hands finally conquer stranded colourwork.
Aboard the Aria she leads the daily workshops — a Wachau-inspired shawl, a Danube colour study, and a come-as-you-are learn-to-knit table where nobody is ever behind. She'll be the one with three projects on the go and time for every single one of yours.

Do I need to be an experienced knitter?
Not at all. The learn-to-knit table runs every afternoon with patient, one-to-one help, and Margit tailors the workshops so beginners and seasoned makers both leave with something they are proud of. Come with two left needles if you like — you will not stay a beginner for long.
Is the whole ship really chartered for knitters?
Yes — that is the whole point. Passage Club books the MS Aria in full, so all 150 guests are part of our community. No strangers wondering why everyone has a project bag; just a floating studio of people who understand.
What's included in the fare?
Your cabin for seven nights, all meals with wine at dinner, a guided excursion in every port, every workshop and all materials, the learn-to-knit programme, evening gatherings, a welcome yarn kit, and port fees and gratuities. You bring needles and a sense of adventure.
Can I bring a companion who doesn’t knit?
Of course. Companions are warmly welcome and share the excursions, meals and evenings — many happily read, sketch or simply watch the river while the needles click. Ask us about companion fares when you enquire.
Which river and ports will we sail?
Edition No. 1 follows the Danube, with calls indicated at Passau, Regensburg, Dürnstein, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest. Ports are confirmed at booking, and in rare cases the routing may shift to the Rhine — either way, the rhythm of the week stays the same.
