The Route
Six river towns over seven days, taken against the current — which is the slow way, and the point. You unpack once; the ship follows you up the Danube.
Days 1–2
Board on the Pest side. Parliament from the water, the Chain Bridge on foot, and a long afternoon in the Széchenyi baths.
Day 3
A small capital you can walk in a morning: the castle hill, the crooked old town, and coffee under the arcades.
Day 4
The Ringstrasse at your own pace, the Hofburg if you like it, and a proper coffeehouse hour with the project bag open.
Day 5
Into the Wachau. A blue abbey tower, terraced vineyards, and apricot orchards the whole way up the valley.
Day 6
The Benedictine abbey on its bluff, the painted library, and the long green view back down the river.
Day 7
Where the Danube, Inn and Ilz run together. Baroque lanes, the old town above the water, and the last evening aboard.
Ports and mooring times as planned. The Danube keeps the final say, and we would not have it any other way.
