Round 9 C for reference: the facts as the last line of the lockup, italic at the title’s measure, between end-capped rules.

1 · A line on the wateroff the ticket

The ticket says only what a ticket says. The facts sit beneath it in cream spaced caps, as the hero’s caption. Needs the text-shadow to hold against the photograph.

2 · Three stampsoff the ticket

Rubber-stamp roundels dropped on the water around the ticket at slight angles: 8 days, whole ship, 150 knitters. Playful, very ephemera, and three objects back on the water.

3 · A baggage tagoff the ticket

A small tag on a string, hung off the ticket’s corner, with the three facts on three lines. The facts travel with the ticket without being printed on it.

4 · A band at the footoff the ticket

A sand strip along the bottom of the hero, edge to edge, with the three facts as figure and label. No scrim, no new object, and a hinge where the hero ends and the page begins. My pick.

5 · On the stubon the ticket

Two more rows on the counterfoil, Duration and Aboard. The ship itself has nowhere to go, so the pitch loses a leg.

6 · Down the perforationon the ticket

Set small and rotated along the tear line, ending in “retain this portion”. Genuinely ticket-like and deliberately hard to read: texture, not message.

7 · The printer’s imprinton the ticket

One hairline of small caps just inside the scallops, above the crest, the way a printer signs a job. Quieter than the stack’s foot and leaves it clean. Second choice on the ticket.

7b · The imprint, under the titleon the ticket

The same hairline of small caps, in the same size as the counterfoil number, set directly under DANUBE instead of above the crest. Real crest artwork on both 7 and 7b.

7c · The imprint, held to the titleon the ticket

As 7b, but the title a step wider and the info line kept narrower than KNITTING at every width: it scales with the ticket and wraps to two lines on small screens rather than outgrowing the word above it.

7d · 7c on the river photographon the ticket

The same ticket on the second river-cruise photograph, 1440 pixels wide, ranged left so the ship shows to its right.

7e · 7d with a boarding-pass tabon the ticket

As 7d, with the cruise boarding pass’s tab: BOARDING PASS in quiet green caps running up the left edge, on the same paper, cut off from the panel by a dotted perforation. When the ticket stacks on narrow screens the tab runs across the top instead. The small heading above the edition line goes, since the tab now says it.
